Another fantastic evening of netball took place this Sunday as players came together for Week 7 of our Dursley Social Netball programme. With plenty of smiles, great teamwork and encouraging support from the sidelines, it was another enjoyable night for everyone involved.
One of the highlights of the evening saw Dursley Dolls and Cherry Bombs share a closely contested and entertaining game. Both teams showed excellent communication and determination throughout, with players demonstrating growing confidence and developing their skills as the match progressed. It was wonderful to see everyone supporting one another and enjoying their time on court.
Elsewhere, Pivot N Pass and Rednock N Roll enjoyed a spirited match that showcased the positive atmosphere that makes social netball so special. Both teams worked hard from start to finish, with players embracing the opportunity to gain valuable game experience, try new combinations and continue building their confidence in a friendly environment.
A special mention this week goes to Jodie Harris from Nock-tails, whose enthusiasm, commitment and positive attitude stood out throughout the evening. Jodie consistently encouraged her teammates, worked tirelessly across the court and made a fantastic contribution to her team's performance. Congratulations to Jodie for being recognised as this week's Player of the Week.
Across all the matches, there were some excellent passages of play, impressive shooting, and plenty of examples of players putting into practice the skills they have been developing each week. Most importantly, it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves, supporting their teammates and embracing the social spirit of the league.
As we move into the next round of fixtures, we look forward to welcoming players back for another evening of fun, fitness and friendly netball. Whether you're returning to the sport after a break or continuing to develop your game, it's fantastic to see so many people enjoying netball in such a supportive and inclusive environment.
