In week 6 of the Ilkeston Wednesday Netball, we saw a number of strong performances, with Victorious Secret, Stealing Passes, and Spice Goals all recording wins to maintain their positions among the leading teams this season.
The evening began with Netballerz facing Victorious Secret, where Victorious Secret secured a 13–3 win. Their consistent play and organisation on court helped them take control of the match.
Stealing Passes also delivered a solid performance against Pivot And Pass, finishing with a 23–6 result. Their structured approach and teamwork contributed to this. Although our new team Pivot And Pass are really beginning to take shape and get in their stride making them one to watch in the coming weeks.
Rutland Rebels took on Spice Goals in another fixture, with Spice Goals winning 17–7. Despite the result, Serena Cope of the Rutland Rebels stood out for her individual performance and was named Most Valued Player of the week.
These results have had an impact on the league standings as teams head into week 7, with several sides continuing to build momentum.
As the season progresses, the night remains competitive, with teams looking to maintain consistency and improve their positions in the table.
