Ilkeston Wednesday Netball Update 28th January

Ilkeston's Netball continued its scintillating action on Wednesday night, as teams showcased their skills in week 9.

It was a week of highs and lows as teams battled it out in an attempt to secure top spots.  In a surprising turn of events, Netballerz were outshone by Stealing Passes with a scoreline of 1 to 21.

Meanwhile, Victorious Secret demonstrated their prowess against Spice Goals with a strong performance, securing a score of 16 against Spice Goals' 8. The Victory Secret's seamless coordination and strategic gameplay led them to this commendable win.

The Rutland teams, Rutland Ravens and Rutland Rebels, faced off in a much-anticipated derby. The Ravens emerged victorious, outscoring the Rebels 15 to 5 in an intense and thrilling match. The Ravens' superior teamwork and strategy proved too strong for the Rebels to overcome.

The spotlight, however, was reserved for Shelley Marsh of Spice Goals. Despite her team's loss, Marsh displayed an outstanding performance, earning her the coveted title of the 'Most Valued Player' for the week. Her agility, precision, and determination on the court were simply unmatchable and have set a high benchmark for the coming weeks.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on these teams and players as they look to improve upon their performances and climb up the ranks. With the season nearing the mid-way point, the competition is heating up, promising more thrilling matches in the weeks to come.
