Ilkeston Wednesday Netball Update 8th April

Week 9 of the Ilkeston Wednesday Netball saw another round of competitive matches, with teams continuing to build on their performances as the season progresses.

The closest match of the evening saw Spice Goals edge a narrow 10–9 win over Stealing Passes. It was a closely contested game, with both sides demonstrating strong teamwork and commitment until the final whistle.

Victorious Secret secured an 11–4 win over Rutland Rebels in a well-played fixture. Their consistency across the court helped them maintain control, while the Rebels continued to work hard and look for opportunities.

Pivot And Pass recorded one of the higher scores of the week, finishing 11–8 against Netballerz. Both teams showed good movement and determination throughout the match, contributing to an enjoyable and competitive game.

This week’s Most Valued Player was Kat Farndon of Netballerz, recognised for her strong individual contribution. Her effort and consistency on court made a positive impact for her team.

As the season continues, teams will be looking to build momentum and develop their play further. The night remains a great opportunity for enjoyable and competitive netball each week, with more closely fought matches expected in the rounds ahead.
