A wonderful evening of social netball was enjoyed by all last Thursday at Rykneld Sports Centre, marking the fourth week of the season. A welcoming atmosphere prevailed as soon as you stepped onto the court, with players of all experience levels coming together for a night filled with sportsmanship, camaraderie, and spirited netball.
In the League group, an uplifting match played out between The Diagnostix and Derby Dolls, with the game finishing at 14-5 in favour of the Derby Dolls. Both teams demonstrated impressive teamwork and commitment, their positive energy infectious and clearly visible throughout the match.
The Derby Darlings and Destiny's Childs also had a chance to display their netball prowess on the court. The game ended in a congenial 6-6 draw, with both teams showing exceptional sportsmanship and a shared love for the game.
The Rams and Don't Stop Believing took to the court next, with Don't Stop Believing concluding the game with a score of 11-5. The match was characterized by a joyful spirit, as both teams put up a robust display of netball skills, combined with a healthy dose of fun and enthusiasm.
A special mention goes to the Most Valued Player of the week, Nagina Rashid from Destiny`s Childs. Her enthusiasm, movement around the court and overall contribution to the game did not go unnoticed.
