Leicester Wednesday Netball Update 27th May

The Leicester Wednesday Netball delivered another enjoyable evening of action this week, with teams across Division 1 and Division 2 showing great teamwork, determination, and competitive spirit on court.

In Division 1, Natterjacks produced a strong performance to secure a 15-8 win against Seagrave Squirrels. Both teams played with plenty of energy and commitment throughout the match, with Seagrave Squirrels continuing to battle hard from start to finish.

A special mention goes to Jo Noble of Seagrave Squirrels, who was named this week’s Most Valued Player. Jo delivered an excellent individual performance, showing fantastic skill, effort, and leadership on court, and was a standout player during the evening’s fixtures.

Elsewhere in Division 1, Shooting Stars impressed with a confident attacking display in their 22-5 victory over Nets Top Models. Both teams showed great enthusiasm throughout the game, with Shooting Stars making the most of their opportunities to secure the win.

In Division 2, Give Us A Shot earned a well-deserved 13-5 victory against Birstall Bluebirds thanks to strong teamwork and consistent play across the court. Wreake Havoc also enjoyed a positive evening, securing a 15-2 win over Court Queens with an excellent all-round team performance.

This week’s matches once again highlighted the talent, sportsmanship, and friendly competition that make the Leicester Wednesday Netball such an enjoyable league to be part of. As the season continues, teams will be looking to build momentum and continue climbing the tables, with plenty more exciting netball still to come in the weeks ahead.
