Leicester Wednesday Netball Update 3rd June

Week 3 of the Leicester Wednesday Netball brought another fantastic evening of netball, with teams across both Division 1 and Division 2 displaying great teamwork, determination, and skill on the court.

In Division 1, Natterjacks and Shooting Stars treated spectators to one of the closest matches of the season so far. In a game that remained competitive from start to finish, Shooting Stars edged a narrow 19-18 victory. Both teams played some excellent netball, with the result highlighting just how evenly matched the sides were.

Seagrave Squirrels also enjoyed a strong performance against Nets Top Models, securing a 17-3 win. The Squirrels showed great consistency throughout the game, while Nets Top Models continued to work hard and gain valuable experience as the season progresses.

In Division 2, Wreake Havoc earned a 10-5 victory over Birstall Bluebirds in a well-contested match. Despite the result, Birstall Bluebirds had plenty to celebrate as Jessica Pearson was named Most Valuable Player of the Week. Her outstanding effort, positive attitude, and impressive play earned her well-deserved recognition.

Give Us A Shot continued their strong start to the season with a 14-4 win over Court Queens. Their teamwork and effective play across the court helped them secure another positive result and maintain their momentum in Division 2.

As the league continues, it is fantastic to see so much talent, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship on display each week. Every team is contributing to an exciting and competitive season, with players continuing to develop and produce memorable performances.

Congratulations to all teams and to Jessica Pearson on her MVP award. With plenty of matches still to come, there are sure to be many more exciting moments ahead in the Leicester Wednesday Netball.
