Week five of the Leicester Wednesday Netball brought another enjoyable evening of action, with teams showing great effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship under the lights.
Shooting Stars delivered a confident performance against Court Queens, taking a 17–3 win. Their strong teamwork and fluid movement helped them build momentum, while the Queens continued to work hard and showed resilience throughout the match.
Wreake Havoc also had a good game, securing a 12–6 victory over Birstall Bluebirds. Both teams competed well, with Havoc finding a strong balance between attack and defence to edge ahead.
Give Us A Shot and Natterjacks rounded off the evening, with Natterjacks winning 27–3. Their pace and accuracy helped them settle into the game, while Give Us A Shot kept battling and maintained great team spirit from start to finish.
A special mention goes to Clare Powell of Court Queens, who was named Most Valued Player this week. Her energy, movement, and determination on court stood out, showing how individual performances can shine regardless of the result.
As the season moves towards its midpoint, it continues to build in both competitiveness and positivity. With every team showing commitment and improvement each week, there’s plenty to look forward to in the matches ahead.
