Leicester Wednesday Social Netball news 2026-06-10

Greetings to all our fantastic netball enthusiasts! We're here to share the joy from the latest week of Social Netball matches held in Leicester. Our Back to Netball programme is in full swing, focusing on the three Fs - fun, fitness, and friendship.

In Division 1, Nets Top Models and Natterjacks had a delightful and energetic game, with Natterjacks scoring the most goals at 22. Meanwhile, the match between Seagrave Squirrels and Shooting Stars was a thrilling, closely-fought display, with Seagrave Squirrels securing just one more goal at 9.

Over in Division 2, Court Queens and Birstall Bluebirds showcased amazing teamwork, with Court Queens managing to net 9 goals and Birstall Bluebirds netting 6 goals. Give Us A Shot and Wreake Havoc also put on a spectacular performance, with Wreake Havoc landing 8 goals and Give Us A Shot landing 4 goals. We're not keeping score, but we love to see those goals fly in!

A special shout-out to Becca Marsden from Court Queens, who was the star of this week's session. Her positivity and energy on the court were remarkable, making the game an absolute pleasure to watch.

As we've only got two weeks of matches left in this round, we'd love to see more of you come along and give Back to Netball a try. It's a wonderful opportunity to make new friends, enjoy some light-hearted competition, and best of all, have a laugh while working up a sweat. So why not join us?
