Burton-on-Trent Sunday Netball League Powered by You Play Netball Gets Underway

The new season of the Burton-on-Trent Sunday Netball League, powered by You Play Netball, got off to a fantastic start this week, with teams taking to the court for an evening full of competitive action, teamwork, and plenty of great netball.

One of the closest games of the night saw Hoopz and Netball Ninjas go head-to-head in a hard-fought contest. Both teams showed great determination throughout, with neither side able to gain the upper hand. Christine Kingsley from Hoopz impressed with an outstanding all-round performance, earning the well-deserved Most Valuable Player award for the week.

Usual Chaos made a strong statement in their opening fixture against Untouchables, displaying excellent teamwork and attacking play to secure a positive start to their campaign.

Odd Balls also enjoyed a successful evening, putting in a confident performance against Goal Diggers. Their energy and organisation across the court demonstrated the strength they'll bring to the competition this season.

Meanwhile, Amazeballs and Hotshots treated spectators to an entertaining encounter. Both teams battled hard throughout the match, with Amazeballs making the most of their opportunities to begin the season on a winning note.

With the first round of fixtures now complete, the stage is set for another exciting season of netball in Burton-on-Trent. There were plenty of encouraging performances on display, and as teams continue to settle into the campaign, players and supporters alike can look forward to many more competitive and enjoyable evenings ahead.
