With the settling sun casting a warm glow over The King's School on Worcester Sunday, Week 9 of the season conveyed an air of camaraderie and sportsmanship. The evening was filled with the sound of laughter, cheers, and the rustling of bibs, as players of various levels of expertise came together to enjoy a gratifying night of social netball.
The first match of the evening saw Toxic Goals and On The Attack take to the court. Despite the score of 10-3 in favour of Toxic Goals, the game was played in great spirit, highlighting the essence of social netball where the joy of the game supersedes competition.
Following up was the face-off between Spice Goals and Rebounders. With an end score of 15-6 in favour of Rebounders, the match was a testament to the beauty of the sport. Both teams played with heart, their dedication and sportsmanship evident through the smiles and high-fives exchanged after each goal.
Rounding off the evening, Cobras and Seven Wonders stepped onto the court. With an even score of 9-9, the game was a delightful showcase of teamwork and commitment. The Cobras and Seven Wonders intertwined their strategies and strength, their positive energy mirroring the spirit of the sport.
A special mention goes to Charlotte Byron from Seven Wonders, our Most Valued Player of the week. Charlotte's enthusiasm and movement around the court were a sight to behold. Her positive contribution was appreciated not only by her teammates but also by her opponents, demonstrating the true spirit of netball.
