Play in the Winsford Wednesday Netball League
Winsford – Week twelve of the Winsford Wednesday Netball League delivered another evening of entertaining and competitive action, with teams continuing to battle hard as the season approaches its final stages. With only two weeks remaining, every result is becoming increasingly important as sides look to finish the campaign strongly and carry momentum into the next season.
One of the most closely contested matches of the evening saw Honey Bees and Rule Breakers share the points in a thrilling 9 - 9 draw. Both teams matched each other throughout the game, producing determined defensive displays alongside moments of excellent attacking play. Neither side was able to pull away on the scoreboard, making for an exciting encounter that remained in the balance until the final whistle.
Throw & Behold secured a solid 8 - 5 victory over Fast And Furious in another competitive fixture. Strong teamwork and patient build-up play helped Throw & Behold gradually create a lead, while Fast And Furious continued to work hard and showed plenty of determination throughout the match.
Clued Up in Pink produced one of the standout performances of the night with an impressive 26 - 11 win against Underdogs. Their quick passing, movement around the court, and consistent finishing allowed them to build momentum early and maintain control throughout the game. Despite the result, Underdogs continued to compete positively and showed resilience against a strong attacking side.
There was also recognition for Underdogs player Sara Taylor, who was named this week's Most Valued Player. Her performance stood out across the evening's fixtures thanks to her effort, determination, and positive contribution on court.
Shots And Giggles also enjoyed a successful evening, recording a 19 - 7 victory over Winsford Wasps. The team displayed strong attacking play and maintained a high tempo throughout the match, helping them secure another valuable result as the season nears its conclusion. Winsford Wasps continued to battle throughout and will look to take positives into the remaining fixtures.
As the league table continues to take shape, Clued Up in Pink's high-scoring performance ensured they finished the night as the League's top scorers. With teams still fighting for strong finishes and valuable points, anticipation is continuing to build ahead of the final two weeks of the season.
