Greetings netball enthusiasts! Week 9 of our social netball evenings at Tudor Grange Academy Worcester was indeed a memorable one. The atmosphere was buzzing with camaraderie, enthusiasm, and the sheer joy of playing our beloved sport, with players from all experience levels reveling in the excitement of the game.
The first match of the evening was a lively encounter between Nets Go to the Pub and Get Your Shot Together. Both teams showcased incredible teamwork and commitment, resulting in a balanced scoreboard of 5-5. The game was a beautiful display of sportsmanship and positive energy, leaving spectators and players alike in high spirits.
The second game saw Pocket Rockets and The 360's taking to the court. Each team played with incredible energy and determination, leading to a final score of 10-2 in favor of The 360's. Despite the score, the Pocket Rockets maintained a positive attitude and enjoyed the game, demonstrating the true spirit of friendly social netball.
Lastly, Block It Like Its Hot and Spice Goals put on an exhilarating show. The friendly match ended with a score of 13-4, with Block It Like Its Hot showing commendable teamwork and resilience. The game was played in great spirit, with Sportsmanship and positive energy ebbed from both sides.
A special mention goes to Maria Kavanagh from Nets Go to the Pub, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm, swift movement around the court, and positive contributions were appreciated by teammates and opponents alike.
Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate Week 10. Let's keep this wonderful momentum going, cherishing the opportunity to stay active, meet new people, and continue developing our netball skills in a supportive environment. After all, netball is more than a game; it's a community, a way to foster new friendships, and a platform to showcase our love for the sport.
