The Uttoxeter Leisure Centre was buzzing with energy and camaraderie as Week 8 of the social netball season unfolded. The evening was filled with laughter, sportsmanship, and a welcoming atmosphere that epitomized the spirit of community netball. This event brought together players of all experience levels who shared a passion for netball, making it an enjoyable and unforgettable evening for all attendees.
First up, we had an enticing match between Seven Sisters and Hoop There It Is. The game was played with a high level of commitment and a mutual respect that was palpable. In the end, Hoop There It Is concluded the game with a score of 11-10. The game saw some excellent teamwork, and both teams left the court with smiles, their positive energy infectious.
The second game of the night featured Can't Touch This! and She's A Keeper. With a final score of 23-4 in favour of Can't Touch This!, both teams demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and enthusiasm. The game was played in great spirits, and it was evident that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
The spotlight of the evening shone brightly on Jade Hodgkinson from Seven Sisters, who was awarded the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm was unwavering throughout the game, her movement around the court was commendable and her positive contribution didn’t go unnoticed by teammates and opponents alike.
As we look forward to Week 9, we encourage anyone who has been considering joining us to come along and try social netball. With just two weeks of matches left, it’s a great opportunity to get active, meet new people, and develop your netball skills in a supportive and friendly environment.
