Last Monday was yet another enjoyable evening of social netball, as the community gathered at Vandyke Upper School for Week 13 of the season. The atmosphere was filled with energy and camaraderie as players of all experience levels came together for a spirited night of sport.
The first match of the evening saw the Leightning Bolts lock horns with the Buzzard Ballers. The game was played with great enthusiasm, and the Ballers, spurred on by their unwavering team spirit, ended the game with a score of 15-7. Despite the scoreline, both teams displayed remarkable sportsmanship and commitment throughout the match.
In the second game, Kestrels and Don't Be Leight took to the court. The match was an exciting exhibition of teamwork and determination. The Kestrels finished the game with a well-earned score of 11-8. Both teams left the court beaming, having enjoyed a game played in excellent spirit.
The final game of the evening had the Wildcats playing against Leight's Get It. The energy was palpable as both teams engaged in a thrilling contest that ended with the Wildcats tallying a score of 14-2. The game was a testament to the positive energy that social netball brings to all participants.
A special mention must go to Michelle English from Chasing Shadows, who was named the Most Valued Player of the week. Her enthusiasm on the court and her ability to contribute positively to the game did not go unnoticed. Her movement around the court was admired by both her teammates and opponents alike.
As we look ahead to Week 14, we are excited for another evening of friendly social netball.
