Play in the Birmingham Tuesday You Play Netball League

Another enjoyable evening of netball took place in the Birmingham Tuesday You Play Netball League, with teams competing in a series of matches as part of the Back to Netball programme. The league continues to provide a welcoming environment for players to stay active, improve their skills, and enjoy regular competitive netball.

The League division featured four matches, with plenty of goals scored and strong performances across the court. Goals Aloud and Goal Diggers opened the evening with a closely contested game. Goals Aloud edged the contest with 9 goals, while Goal Diggers finished with 6, with both teams showing good teamwork and determination throughout.

Pocket Rockets produced the highest score of the night with an impressive 29 goals against Spice Goals. Their attacking play proved effective throughout the match, while Spice Goals continued to work hard and remained positive from start to finish.

Waseley Wizards took on Goals Of Glory in another competitive fixture. Waseley Wizards came away with 8 goals, while Goals Of Glory added 4 of their own. Both teams demonstrated excellent effort and commitment, contributing to an entertaining game.

The final match of the evening saw Hoop Troops face Netbusters. Hoop Troops secured the win with 11 goals, while Netbusters scored 2. Despite the result, both teams continued to battle throughout the game and played with great enthusiasm.

A special congratulations goes to Laura Plotnek-Jones of Netbusters, who was named Player of the Session. Laura was recognised for her positive attitude, support for her teammates, and contribution throughout the evening. Her commitment and sportsmanship made her a worthy recipient of the award.

The Back to Netball programme continues to be a great opportunity for players of all abilities to enjoy the sport in a supportive and social setting. Each week brings competitive matches, improved confidence on court, and the chance to meet new teammates and opponents alike.
