Birmingham Tuesday Social Netball - week 14

Play in the Birmingham Tuesday Netball League

Week 14 of the Birmingham Tuesday Netball League took place at Waseley Hills High School, with teams once again enjoying a competitive evening of netball as the season continues towards its conclusion.

The opening fixture saw Waseley Wizards take on Goals Aloud. Waseley Wizards produced a strong team performance, moving the ball well through the court and making the most of their scoring opportunities. Goals Aloud worked hard throughout the game and continued to compete until the final whistle, but Waseley Wizards secured an 8-3 victory.

The highest-scoring game of the evening came between Hoop Troops and Pocket Rockets. Pocket Rockets were in excellent form from the start, maintaining a fast tempo and converting their chances consistently throughout the match. Hoop Troops showed determination and continued to battle despite facing a difficult challenge, with Pocket Rockets eventually recording a 29-7 win.

Stormers faced Goals Of Glory in the third game of the night. Goals Of Glory controlled much of the play and put together a disciplined performance at both ends of the court. Stormers continued to work hard throughout the game and showed plenty of resilience, but Goals Of Glory secured a convincing 15-3 victory.

The final match of the evening provided one of the closest contests of the round as Goal Diggers took on Netbusters. Both teams were evenly matched and produced an entertaining game, with neither side able to establish a significant advantage. Goal Diggers managed to edge ahead during the closing stages and held on to claim a 12-9 victory in a competitive encounter.

This week's Most Valuable Player award went to Leah Douglas from Spice Goals. Leah impressed with her movement, decision-making and overall contribution on court. Her performance was recognised by players across the league and she is a deserving recipient of this week's award.

With just one week remaining, teams will be looking to finish the season strongly and build momentum heading into the final round of fixtures. The league has once again delivered a great mix of competition, teamwork and enjoyment, with players of all abilities continuing to contribute to a welcoming and supportive environment each week.

We look forward to seeing all teams back on court for Week 15 as another successful season of netball draws to a close.
