Week one of the Wilmslow Sunday Netball League kicked off in style, with teams bringing energy, teamwork, and plenty of excitement to the court. It was a brilliant opening round, giving everyone a taste of what’s to come this season.

The first match of the day saw Jammy Dodgers take on Cowgirls in a lively and competitive opener. Both teams settled into the game quickly, but Cowgirls found their flow and secured a well-earned 13–7 win. Jammy Dodgers kept the pressure on throughout, showing great effort from start to finish as they continue into the season.

Next up, It Girls faced Shoot Happens in one of the closest games of the afternoon. The match stayed tight from start to finish, with both teams matching each other goal for goal. In the end, Shoot Happens clinched a narrow 7–6 victory, though It Girls displayed impressive determination and teamwork all the way through.

The final match saw Hustlers go head-to-head with Honey Bees. It was a fast-paced and competitive fixture, with Hustlers managing to pull ahead for a 7–5 win. Honey Bees remained composed and fought strongly throughout, keeping the game close right up to the final whistle.

This week’s Most Valued Player went to Ruth Power from It Girls, who delivered an outstanding performance. Her energy, control, and composure on court stood out, making her a well-deserved pick for the first MVP of the season.
